Newbie :)
I am 28. I have been over 200lbs for the last 6 years. I was never a "skinny" girl, but I was into sports growing up, so I never got too out of control.
... 2 years ago I was 265 lbs and said ENOUGH!!! I began to change a lot of things in my life and lost 40lbs. However, its been 8 months with no weight loss, and my motivation is gone. I am now at 225lbs and wear between a 16 and an 18 (I was happiest at a size 12.). I have tried and had mild success with a few things, but nothing ever lasted more than 2 weeks or showed any loss over 15lbs. I am tired of watching all my friends go out and have fun while I stay behind cause I hate the way I look in everything I own. I feel like I deserve the chance to go out in a cute dress again. It's my turn, and I need to stay strong when it comes to losing weight. So, I will try everything I can until I find what works and motivates me!!:D That is why I am here....who knows, maybe support is what I need! Here goes nothing! |
Welcome!! (from one Amy Leigh to another hehe). I know exactly how you feel. I was in the same boat when I started my weightloss...and i get incredibly bored after 2-3 weeks and have to change my routines. I hope you find as much success with this forum as I have!! Keep positive...and find yourself a cute dress that makes you feel good NOW because you deserve to feel fabulous as you are, not just when you're "skinny". (i found quite a few cute ones at deb...it's not just for teenyboppers anymore. i'm a 27 year old teacher, so i can't dress like snookie anymore haha)

Hi Amy Leigh! How did you lose that first 40 lbs? That is such an accomplishment and I know from my own experience - a lot of work!
Have you considered starting a fitness routine to get you motivated? I find that is the only thing that will kick my butt into gear to get started. Besides being a natural mood booster, I find that after I have worked out hard for the day the last thing I want to do is eat and blow the nutrition. I hope you can find your "mojo" again so to speak. Thank you for posting! |
Hey there, and welcome! If you want suggestions on how to lose weight and are unsure where to begin, I would recommend looking around some of these forums where you can check out things like Atkins, Weight Watchers, calorie counters, etc. Good luck!

Hey welcome! :D I am new-ish to 3fc also. Maybe we can all help each other stay motivated and continue accomplishing our goals :)
