Hello everyone. I already posted in the 100lb group, but I probably should have posted an intro first; I was just excited to jump right in lol

My name is Denise. I am a 23 year old widow & mother to one 4 year old daughter. I've been overweight since I was eight. It started with emotional eating over my brother's death. From that point one, it just kind of snowballed out of control. I developed what is called "binge eating disorder" but it has been under control more recently.
I went through a lot of phases. I did a lot of "I won't let myself get over X weight, and I won't let myself get bigger than X size," and I failed every time. I did a lot of dieting over the years and started programs that I never finished or even stayed on for that long. Finally, at my largest 280.5 pounds size 18, I decided I did not want to see 300 on the scale and that's pretty much what lead to me being here.
