Tomorrow is the first day of my new adventure!
 
Hello! My name is Shannie G and well I found this site through a google search!

I am in desperate help! I need motivation!!! I am 31 and have gone out of control with my eating habits. I feel like I have tried every diet and every time I FAIL!! I am an emotional eater and find comfort with sweets and good food!

Today was the day when I have decided enough is enough. I am going to be starting phase 1 of the South Beach diet.. My goal is 140 and to fit into a beautiful wedding dress. I have been dating my boyfriend for 5 years and would love a new wedding in the New Year!!

I really need to do this or I will never be Happy the weight on my body is the 1 thing in life holding me back from my dreams!!

You and I have a lot in common: age, start and goal weights. I just joined as well. I'm not doing a specific diet, just calorie counting, but good luck to you! I hopeyou make it to the wedding dress of your dreams.

:welcome: Lots of folks here know how you feel (lots of emotional eaters here). You have less than 50 lbs to lose so that is a plus on your side. You can do this; look around and you will notice that there are lots of people who have succeeded with the same goals ... :D

I am the EPITOME of emotional eaters.. it's not an easy thing to overcome, but try replacing food with some other activity you enjoy. I've found that helps me. :)

Congrats with the wedding plans, as well! Welcome to the boards. :)
