Hi All,

My name is Jennie and I'm from South Dakota and currently working on losing approximately 100 pounds. I'm one of those folks that's been struggling with my weight for all of my adult life but I have a complicating factor in that my thyroid is dead after having radiation treatment a few years back. It's pretty hard for me to lose weight but I'm still giving it a go! I had a baby about 4 months ago and am also at my highest weight. Meeting my son gave me the drive to make a difference in my life. I want him to have the appreciation for food and his body that I didn't. I've tried a multitude of diets but due to money restrictions I'm currently doing straight calorie counting and phentermine based on my doctor's recommendation.

Hello Everyone!

I have never actually posted on a forum before. This is the first forum that actually got my attention enough to do it :)

I am 25 yrs old.. I had the lapband when I was 18... I had success with it, I don't regret it.. I got down to 141 pounds at once for a short while :)

I had a bunch of complications. I have had a total of 3 surgeries with the lapband and just had it removed 12/2010..

Since it was removed I have had a hard time maintaing weight, let alone losing any!

Last week I started the Ideal Protein diet and have lost a total of 13 inches off my whole body and 6 lbs.! I am dedicated, motivated and ready to get this weight off FOR GOOD!

I am very excited to be a part of this forum and have a support system and peers to go to for help... I have never had that before and I believe it will be an important factor in my success :)
