Hey people...new and kinda confused on using the forum

Hello lovely ladies of 3fc! :D

I absolutely love this forum! I think its such a great place for girls to talk to other girls bout weight loss, gain, eating right, exercise etc. and just women stuff in general..it really is an amazing site so just wanna say to those of you apart of it thank you for being inspirations!... because i am on a weight loss journey like all of you!

I am 18 years old and I think my starting weight was 232 or soemthing along those lines but recently people were mentioning to me that i had lost weight...something i was esctatic by so i weighed myself again few months after knowing my weight was 232 and it looks like iv dropped to 214...for no apparent reason because i have not been trying to lose weight but i guess starting college gave me the 15lbs loss rather than gain! :cb:

Anyway dont have too much to say but this is a new start for me i guess...and i feel really optimistic about losing weight since finding this site so thank you 3fc!...but i have a question on using the forum..

When i post something on a thread how do i know when people have written on that thread? will i get a notification of some sort to let me know rather than having to go find the thread and check it every so often?

thanks for reading!! :D

At the top of the thread there are two blue boxes. If you click on the Thread Tools the drop down menu will include one for subscribe to this thread. If you choose that option, I believe it will send replies to your email address (or maybe your pm box, I'm not sure).

I usually don't subscribe to threads. Instead what I personally do every time I visit is click New Posts in the blue bar across the top of the screen. That's because I tend to browse all the new thread titles.. That way, I come across all the new stuff (and pop into those that seem interesting). Along the way, I'll see threads that I've posted in.

My way isn't very time-efficient though.

Go to the blue bar across the top of this page click on Quick Links then scroll down to My Profile this will bring you to all your posts and you can see if anyone has replied.

Welcome to 3FC =)

Sounds like you've been checking around, which is great! Make sure to post wherever you're comfortable.

Hope to see you around the boards :)
