It's me, Jenn

I am Jenn. Striving to lose the weight I gained with my pregnancy almost 7 years ago. I am only 5 feet tall so any extra weight is not easily hidden.

In 2002, I had my first daughter, I weighed 115 and only gained about 10-15 pounds because I was so sick. Even though my body shape changed, I was happy with my weight.

In 2004, I had twins, a boy and a girl. I weighed about 120-125 when I got pregnant and when I gave birth (6 and 1/2 weeks early), I weighed 225.

Yes, you read that right. I gained 95 pounds in 7 months. I have spent the last 7 years trying to lose that weight.

The best loss I had was 55 pounds, but I gained some of that back. To date I have lost approx 40 pounds and counting. I gave up for awhile, but after seeing pics of myself at Christmas I decided I had to do something. I weighed 198 Jan 1, 2011. So far I have not lost very much despite my efforts. I am currently 184.

I have tried many different approaches, and continually get discouraged when I don't see results right away. I am currently going to the gym 3 days a week swimming, doing Zumba, and dancing.

I am trying to do better and instead of dieting, I am making healthy lifestyle changes and adding in exercise. I just started the Couch 2 5k running program today, and hope I can see results with the extra workout added.

I have a lot of sagging skin just from the 40 pound loss and I am absolutely terrified of what it will look like when the next 60 pounds is gone. I can only hope it won't be as bad as I imagine and that I can afford plastic surgery if it is.

Highest weight: 225 (7/25/04)
Starting weight:198 (01/01/11)
Current weight: 184 (06/17/11)
Summer goal: 165 by 9/1/2011
Fall goal : 145 by 12/1/2011
Final Goal weight: 125 by 3/1/2011

Hi, I'm new as well! And in the same position, trying to lose baby weight... although I only have 1. I've just started today with counting calories. I've been thinking about starting the couch to 5k plan on Monday so let me know how that goes for you! I'm breast feeding at the moment so I'm a little leery about running with the extra weight in the chest... But I think I will attempt it! Good luck, and keep me posted!:)

I am a 38 DDD and I am not breastfeeding. I will let you know how it goes. A good sports bra is needed for sure.

Try a low calorie diet along with your exercise, you will have better results.

I am counting my calories. I eat very low fat, and average about 1400-1600 a day which is what my nutritionist suggested.
