I have always felt too fat, had no cheekbones and a double chin. I remember being pudgy at my smallest, a size 6, freshman year of highschool and dreading having to wear a swim suit for gym. Now I would kill to be that weight again. In fact, it is my ultimate (weight) goal. LOL.
I have never really tried dieting before, and I don't intend to now. I want to learn to eat healthier and in more reasonable portions. I know me. I know that if I say 'no cookies. no soda. no pizza' that I will obsess about those foods until I break down and eat myself sick. So I've started counting calories with the Lose It! app on my phone. I haven't been exercising. I know I should, and I may start, but as of now I'm focusing on my relationship with food.
My plan: Deny myself nothing, but be mindful of and accountable for everything I put in my mouth.
I did this for a few month a while back and went from 183 to 170, but then I fell off the accountability wagon for no reason, really. Went back to 175 eating some very unhealthy foods, but I started back up with the counting yesterday. I haven't weighed myself lately, so I'm saying 175. If not exact, its close. Are there faster ways to lose the weight? Of course, but I believe this will give me the best chance of sticking to it and teach me how to maintain my healthy weight once I reach it.
I'd love a weight loss buddy, so I'm working on getting myself involved with the various things on 3FC. I'm so pumped to be a part of a like-minded community and to keep up with all the amazing weight loss that goes on around here!
Oh, also, I set up a 3FC blog under the same name.
