Desperate to Lose!

Hello! I am a 49 year old grandma, who is raising my grandson. I have several health issues that have helped me gain over 100 pounds in the last few years. Now I need to lose this weight to help my body and to be able to be here for my grandson. I struggle with things like eating when I am bored or upset, which I need help with. I just bought a bathing suit 12 days ago, then 10 days ago contracted a horrible bout of bronchitis, which is still with me. As soon as I am able i am going to start using my spa membership to swim laps everyday. I have so far to go and I'm happy to find others in my situation.

Hi Rapunzel! You're a young grandma. I wish I had been able to have kids and grandkids, so you're blessed.

Believe you can do this and you can. And you will.

XOXO

Welcome to the forums!

You CAN do this =) There are a number of different support groups, plus the fact that the whole community is here to help each other succeed. You're definitely not alone when it comes to wanting to be healthier.

Swimming regularly is great movement so keep that up. Do you have any plans on how to handle food?

Best of wishes!
