Newbie looking for support, ideas, and new friends!
I am new to this wonderful site and am looking forward to my weight loss journey. I have about 70 pounds that I want to lose...and will! I had to have a hysterectomy at 28 and no one bothered to tell me that I would gain weight. I was always skinny and never had to diet or exercise. I do not wish to be as skinny as I once was, I just want to be healthy and fit. I start working out and then BAM...something happens and I stop. I used to teach in another state where I put together a Biggest Loser competition at my school and I did great having the support and weekly weigh in. Since I have moved...I have really missed that support and have "fallen off the wagon." I sometimes need that extra motivation and pep-talk from others and to get some new ideas. Therefore, I am looking forward to using this great site. If you have any suggestions or tips...let me know. Right now I am beginning P90x (worked for me before) and Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred (just trying it for the first time). I just bought the wii Zumba fitness game to put some "zing" in to all this....of course I have no rhythm so we will see how that goes...lol. My biggest challenge is LACK of household eating support....meaning....they are NO help in keeping it healthy! They are constantly bringing in the junk and I need to work on the resistance and will power to not eat it! I can do this though and I will. :)

You look so motivated! You working out program look huge, I'm always so impressed to the people that are doing P90x!! I know it is hard to keep up with the healthy food diet when people around you don't. But I think all this will make you stronger to stick to this new plan no only for the diet but for a lifetime change :) Best wishes :D |
