I'm a Newbie...
Hi everyone. I am new here. I need to lose 50 pounds in order to have a surgery for my genetic disease. Because of it, I have an ileostomy (like a colostomy) and cannot get it reversed until I lose the weight. The ileo is a big deal when it comes to eating and exercise. I knew something had to be done when I passed to 200 pound mark but I have been so sick that I could not really exercise. I am getting over pancreatitis which is a horrible thing to have. I also have Bipolar Type II and PCOS. The PCOS makes it very hard to lose weight but I know I can do it. The weight crept up on me slowly, gaining a few pounds here and there. I hope to become more accountable for my weight and I need a support system to help me out with my depression and for exercising. I started walking today and I want to build that up to a longer walk each day.

Hi Jaden!
:welcome3: You came to a GREAT place to find the support and accountability you want. I never thought I would join a weight loss group, but I am soooo happy that I did. I think there is even a sub group/thread on here for people losing weight with other issues (depression/health issues/etc) that you might like to check out. And, just post wherever you are most comfortable! Welcome, again, and best of luck to you! You CAN do it!! :) |
:welcome: Good luck with your efforts!! Happy walking!!
