Hi...I'm new and wanted to say hi!

I just joined weight watchers last week...first weigh-in will be on Saturday...I need to loose 60 lbs....I have lost 40 lbs three times over the last five years only to regain it and now I am at my highest weight ever..this is my first time on WW, so I would be thrilled for any input on this points plus system or any input for that matter....several years ago I did the low carb diet and joined a forum and loved it....it was a great support system and I am so happy to have found this board...just so happy to be starting again!

Hi there Scooter =)

I'm following the WW program, too. (I could talk about WW alllll day long.)

There's a section dedicated to those using the WW plan to track & lose weight so be sure to stop in there with any Points or Plan questions!

I think the biggest pointer I have for anyone beginning absolutely any plan is to track your food. Write it down no matter how much it is or what it is. Get it down on paper! (Or on the online tracker!) It's not a judgment. It's important information!

That and keep at it! Best of wishes ^-^

Thanks Lovely!

Hi Lovely!
I am so glad to find someone to talk to about WW and I will be checking out that section of the forum...It is my first week and so far so good...I have been tracking everything in the little notebook and counting those points...I think my biggest concern right now will be if I can lose on the points they allotted me...but time will tell....:) Thanks so much for the welcome!

Hi and welcome!

I am also on weight wathcers. I've lost 8 pounds so far.

The first 2 weeks went very well. I lost a lot of weight in those 2 weeks. After that I've had some set backs - I gained weight twice and it made my progress slow.

The most important thing is to not concentrate on the amount of weight that you want to lose, but rather to make sure that you stick to your weekly points no matter what. That's the key. Stick to your points and lose weight, or go over your points and gain weight.

It also helps to eat no point foods in between meals. I have 2 no point soups a day for a second lunch and dinner. And I also try to have a second breakfast.

Hi Suzy...thanks for stopping in....I am so hoping the points work for me, because so far I am doing that...so far I haven't used any weekly points or activity points but have used every single daily point every day...so we'll see...Good luck to you too! I am hoping it works because so far I feel like it is the most doable diet I've been on because I'm not hungry and you can have a little of everything and reward yourself also so I know I can go out to a restaurant, etc.:carrot:
