Here goes nothing!

Hi everyone. Today is my first day looking around the site. I thought about lurking for a while first, but decided it will be more motivating if I just start posting right away.

I am not new to this process. In 2008, I started at 210 pounds and lost 45, but then started having gall stone attacks which eventually culminated in surgery to remove the blasted thing. Once the attacks started, I couldn't really exercise anymore, and the weight started coming back. I told myself I wouldn't let it go too high, but that didn't work.

Fast forward to this year. On New Year's day, I was 222.4 pounds and started walking each day and using WiiFit for fun. I used SparkPeople the last time around, so I started tracking my food and exercise over there again. I am down 20ish pounds right now, and I am ok with the slow weight loss (it is easier to maintain that way) but I am yoyo-ing a bit within a 3 pound range and have been for a few weeks now. :?:

I am hoping going to a new site with a new group of people will help motivate me to get the weight moving again. I am still walking/jogging, an average of 4 miles at a time at least 5 times a week. I am participating in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge later this month, then after that I have a few short gym memberships to start in on.

So hi!

Welcome =) Awesome work on becoming healthier so far! Keep at it, and make yourself at home.

Welcome! I post every day! In fact, I'm saying hi to everyone tonight instead of eating.

Best wishes!

Good luck Gyspsy! I know exactly what you mean about those 3 pounds lurking! I've been going through the same thing for the past few months so now I'm in a tweaking stage.
