Not sure if I'll fit in, but I'll give it a try!

Hi guys!

I guess I should start off by saying that I'm not really considered overweight and that my goal is to become more fit.

Still, I hope you'll welcome me into this community. I've lurked about here on the forums and really liked what I've seen, so far. You seem to be a nice bunch of people and I can't wait to start becoming active in the forums!

Now, onto the numbers...

My current weight is 129 ibs (roughly 58.4 kilos) and my goal is 121.

I plan on doing this by running 3 times/week and eventually moving up to training 6 times/week. In the past I really enjoyed running and I can't wait to feel that wonderful feeling again!

Lately, however, I've gained a bit of weight due to various circumstances; plain laziness, bad habits (mainly bad food - fast food, candy, chips etc...) and schoolwork.

As my training detoriated, so did my self-confidence and during this week I just broke down and cried (mainly because of an overload of exams) and feeling ugly has never been so prominent until now.

I've already abandoned the habit of eating chips, fast food and candy, although I tend to eat dark chocolate a few times a week...

Therefore, I've decided to regain the weight I had when I was fit (about 121 ibs = 55 kilos) and I also believe a more healthy and active lifestyle will change my current half-sort-of-depression.

Pictures taken a few days ago, I was completely relaxed and didn't keep my stomach in as I usually do (sort of unconsciously, actually).

Will be back tomorrow again with more information (will be running in the morning, and I fear I'll find it quite tough haha!).

Thank you! It means a lot to me, although I'm not really satisfied with my physical fitness at all.

I mainly just want to become more healthy and fit.

Today's running went so-so, was out of breath just after a few minutes. Ran just a tiny km (0.6 mile).... I'll try running again tonight.
