Newbie - looking for advice and support!

  • Hi Everyone!

    I started reviewing this site a few weeks prior to starting Ideal Protein Diet on April 9th. This site is a wealth of information so I thought it was time I joined. My first two weeks on IDP was great 13lbs weight loss and 15". However, my cycle was last week and I was craving EVERYTHING! I don't think I went on a serious binge but I at granola and almonds for 3 days and had a couple slices of bread. I put on 3lbs! So I did my best this week (4th) to stick to the plan and I lost only the 3lbs but nothing more. I would greatly appreciate any advice how to quickly get myself back on track?

    I am new too (long time lurker)!!

    Man, I hate it when those cravings kick in!! It's hard enough to control yourself all month anyway...haha....

    Since I am new too, I don't really have advice for getting back on track. Maybe start to journal/write down thoughts or feelings, or keep track of what you're eating? I started doing that, and find it SO helpful to stay focused.
    I notice that I feel better too when I exercise for a little bit. Even if it's just 10 mins of walking or using hand weights, or anything....

    Also, visiting the GOAL sections and photo albums on this site REALLLLLY help me when I start to feel discouraged, or when I need a little encouragement. It's done wonders for me.

  • It's what happens to most... The next week those 3lbs will be off.
  • Keep up the good work...you are back on track you got those extra 3 lbs off so start from there. Don't dwell on gaining those 3, put your head back in the game...you can do it. Start like you are just beginning it for the first time again. I am also new to IP, I started on the 28th of April.....i had my first weigh in on April 5th.....lost 9.8lbs....14 1/2 inches... I have a long way to go but its a start, put your mind to it...you can DO IT!
