My Time!
 

I've lurked on this site for a few weeks now. Oh gosh, how time flies cause its been almost a month. I have a friend who seemed inspired to change her ways with me but it seems it is not to be. When I learn of new info or just try to help her make better choices she listens sometimes, but often she doesn't. I've been in this spot before and I know that I need moral support. I can tell that she will not be that for me.

So I remembered this site which I used to frequent a couple of years ago. I'm also on a fitness site, but they are such fanatics that I don't feel like I measure up there. On that fitness site, diet discussions are forbidden. I feel there's a better balance on this site. I NEED to exercise because having reached 40 some not so kind things are happening to my body. I NEED to pay more attention to my diet because recurring sinus infections, heartburn and digestive issues are telling me that what I've been doing has either caught up with me or my body is starting to reject my old ways.

So here I am! I look forward to getting to know all of you on my new journey.

Happy you came out of hiding! ;) And I am glad that you are starting your journey even if you don't have 100% support from your friend. If it's not her time then it's just not her time. But THIS IS YOUR TIME! And who knows.....you might have her jumping on the bandwaggon eventually!
