Beware the endless chatter...Nice to meet ya all! Did I happen to say I talk a lot..

  • Hi all I'm so excited to have found this place! I figure I'll try to keep my intro short but I'm quite the chatter bug and have trouble shutting up with anything. I was at my highest weight ever at the start of my diet 1 1/2 weeks ago at 199lbs. I am currently 194lbs. My goal is to get to a nice weight of 135lbs.

I was always thin as a rail (still a big butt sigh) growing up. Never a day over 110lbs and typically 100lbs. Then I got pregnant at 18. I gained very little weight when I was pregnant but at my 6 week postpartum check up I literally weighed more then I was at 9 months pregnant! It has been down hill from there. My son is now 12 years old and the weight has slowly climb every year. Having a second child 2 years ago didn't help any.

I have bad joints, Dr says it comes with being a redhead lucky me. All the weight I have on my knees is really destroying them. I have finally said I'll stick to my diet no matter what and I am 100% committed. I started a week and a half ago (I know easy to say at first haha) but I'll MAKE it happen! I want my knees to be happy and I want a lean yet refined muscular body. I'm super excited and WILL make this happen. I'm joining because seeing others succeed is quite motivating and I can't wait to contribute. I haven't cheated even one time in the week and a half. For most they would assume easy but I'm a sugar / highly refined carb (think white rolls haha) addict. Going even a whole day without something super sweet or refined bread is a feet.

I am the CEO and founder of K9 Northwest and we train service dogs for disabled veterans, do dog training for the general public at reduced cost, run a dog trainer's academy teaching people to become trainers, and run a no kill dog rescue. I LOVE my job but it can take 70+ hours a week of my time. Combining that with having 2 kids at home I haven't made much time for exercise and thus I'm super out of shape! This is my chance to make changes and I'm so excited. I think i managed to add a picture to my profile. That is me being "attacked" by a private client training her dog as a K9 (think police dog). I LOVE getting the time out on a training field doing bite work. It is the only exercise i normally get haha.

Again nice to meet you all, look forward to getting to know you all. Sorry for my non stop chatter.

    -Melissa

I am a TOTAL emotional eater! My ultimate weakness... GUMMIES. Gummie savers, gummy bears, starburst gummies, and fruit snacks, ohhh the fruit snacks. I'd have a bad day and buy a box of them and eat the entire box in the car. I think maybe it is the texture?? Anyway's glad to meet another newbee. We CAN do it!!!!
