Newbies Hello!
I just joined the community, and am excited to get some support for weight loss. I'm 19 years old, and in college. Have an amazing supportive family, friends, and boyfriend. I'm so lucky to have gotten my parents to try and lose weight with me! It's so much easier changing my diet with my parents being on board as well!
My goal is to lose 97 pounds, so I've got a way to go. But based on my body and the types of problems I have with weight my doctor recommended me going on the South Beach Diet. So thats what I'm trying to do now and it hasn't bee the entire first week yet, but so far I feel pretty successful! So hello to you all and I'll see you around the boards! |

Welcome! Dieting in college can be such a pain, especially if dorm food and Thirsty Thursdays are involved. On the other hand, free gym!

I too am new... You have about the same amount to lose as I do, although I am not doing any specific diet plan. Good luck on your journey! :carrot:

Hi, I'm a newbie too. I simply have to get serious; I have fought weight all my life and I am nearly 52. It sounds like you have a good start..keep going!
