Hi everyone! I'm Yvonne and I'm 19.
I need to drop about 30lbs. I have 6 months, or exactly 180 days (starting tomorrow) till the first day of college. I have much knowledge about burning fat and all the necessary tools - books Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle and The Body Fat Solution (both by Tom Venuto), many exercise DVDs, a park with jogging track close to my apartment ... the only thing that hasn't clicked yet is that drive within. I mean, I do want to have a fit body and I want to embrace a healthy lifestyle...but I quit quickly every time - I control myself about three to ten days and then I go nuts on food and abandon exercising for twice that time. Than I get on the band wagoon again. And I've been repeating the cycle for about 3 years now.My problem is consistency - it's a really ironic thing how GOOD I actually feel when exercising and eating right,in just those few days my body heals, my mind is clearer, I feel better overall.... Also I binge eat - but I think it's more of a habit than a disorder for me. And I'm done with that cycling phase. So here I am officially stating the following: I am starting this adventure to get a perfectly fit body and a healthy lifestyle right NOW. I am committing to appreciate myself and have patience, to improve and learn gradually. I commit to never look back, never complain, never explain, and to keep my eyes on the prize. I commit that if I fall I'll get back up right away. I commit to get as much as I can of this site and every other source of motivation and support I can find. I commit to journal everyday. I commit to make it to the moon if I have to crawl :carrot: So you'll be seeing me around the forum I hope all see you too ;) A bit of motivation for my start http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-EyRUgp9Mk (I hope YT links are allowed - if not let the moderators please erase it, thnx ) |
