Top of the Mornin' to Ya!
Hi everyone! I am 29 years old and from Pittsburgh, PA. I have lost over 80 lbs since I started my weight loss journey in 2008. I am proud to say I have competed in two triathlons and a half marathon! I was sidelined in the fall by a hip injury and I am trying to get back on track. I am looking forward to getting to my goal!!!! I don't have too-too far to go but I need help staying accountable.
I started the Self Magazine Challenge this week as a new tool to help me stay accountable and push through this plateau. Also I am blogging about my successes and failures. you can follow my blog at krystynsnyder.blogspot.com What are your stories about pushing through walls? Thanks and I hope you chime in on my blog and help keep me accountable :) xoxo Krystyn :bike2: |
Wow!!! Congrats on all your successes so far! How inspiring - I'm terrified of marathons! (And I like running: )
I wish you lots of success! |
haha don't be terrified! It's really a mental game once you know you have put the effort in physically.
Thanks for the post too! :) It seems like I have been stuck in the same place for months and I am going to use every tool I can find to help me. I have been taking a picture of everything I eat this week and sending it to my best friend to help me stay accountable. So far, so good! Nice to meet you, Krystyn |
I'm actually sitting at a wall right now. I've been yo-yo-ing back and forth between 180 and 177 for two weeks now. I'm going to start running again. I did the C25K program last fall and I discovered I didn't hate running as much as I thought! I'm definitely not looking into any marathons but I have a 5K set up for June that I'm looking forward to training for.
Congrats on your amazing success so far! |
Thanks and you can totally get that 5k! I am running a 5k on June 10th. I am looking forward to it. I tore the cartilage in my hip during the fall and have been rehabing back. I am looking forward to getting my hip back in shape for race season!
I keep reminding myself that it's every little small step that counts. I must have counted to 100 a million times during the marathon...it passed the time but it was so much more than that. Every little step actually mattered! |
