Another newbie!
Hello everyone! I am so glad that I stumbled across this site. I am nearly 30 and weight loss has been an issue for me my whole life. I can lose weight but its a struggle to stay disciplined. And then keeping it off is the real challenge! Like many people, I've been on a roller coaster of dramatically gaining and losing weight through the years. I think the biggest mistake I've made in my weight loss attempts is always trying to do it alone. Having support is the one thing that I always lacked. Out of my own insecurity and embarrassment of being overweight I always tried to keep my weight loss attempts and dieting private and secret. After a lot of self reflection and pondering, I think that I have done myself more harm than good by not seeking support. I think that this site will help a lot! I am looking forward to meeting new people, giving and receiving support, tips, and ideas, and making a true effort at changing my lifestyle. One thing I am promising myself: I will not go on a diet. Instead, I will change my lifestyle for long term happiness, confidence, and good health!
