Newbie here...

Hello All!

I am brand spanking new but looking for a great online support community to motivate me to lose weight.

Here is a little of my weight/over weight history...

I ran track and field in high school and a little in college and have always been very thin, to the point that people would think I starved myself. Totally not true considering how in love I am with food. lol

I graduated high school weighing only 85 lbs! Crazy, I know! I was running near 50 miles a week and working out like crazy. I should mention that I am only 5'0 so this wasnt hugely underweight. Average for my height is somewhere near 110.

Pretty much after I turned 21 i steadily gained weight until I am now at 130 (i think). So 45 lbs in the last 7 years is a lot. I've basically gained 50% of my weight since high school. So scary!

I am looking to lose at least 20 lbs by the end of April and and additional 10 lbs by the end of May for a total of 30 lbs, with an average 10 lbs a month.

I am on a budget so eating healthy is a challenge because of cost. Also, because of my budget I probably wont be able to afford a gym membership until beginning of May. I am currently relying on exercise videos and keeping a low calorie diet. Ugh sounds pathetic.

I am a positive person so hopefully I can make this happen!

Welcome Fontaine, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join.
