New Chick

Hello fellow chicks!

I am a 38 year old stay home mom. I have 2 girls (ages 6 and 4) and it's time to lose the baby weight.

I started my journey in September with working out at a local gym. I decided I like food alot and would rather just enjoy eating and work it off ~ it worked before ~ when I was younger....
Needless to say, at 38, it wasn't working this time. I have started loosely counting calories and really watching portion sizes. I started off with a bang and lost 8 lbs in about 5 weeks. Yay! Now, I have stalled. I have every faith that the scale will start moving again.

I had my measurements done at the gym 6 weeks ago and have them done again on Thursday. I am super excited for this as I can fit into some jeans that I couldn't get up past my thighs 6 weeks ago. Here's to hoping....

My goal is to get svelte by June ~ wakeboarding starts and I live in a bathing suit ~ this year I would like to not have to wear shorts over top!

Anyways, I found this forum and read a few posts and know this will be a huge part of my success!

I just had my 6 week measurements done and have lost 1.5 inches off my waist, 1.5 inches off my hips, and .5 inch off my bust! I increased my sit-ups by 6 and push-ups by 2 and cut my cardio recovery time nearly in half!

The gym I go to has also asked me to be the member in profile for the March newsletter!

I have new found motivation the make the next 6 weeks even better!

So excited for this journey of a lifetime.

Welcome, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join.
