I WILL be successful this time.

Hello all,

I am a first year teacher, destined to be thin. I live in Central Ohio and have been over weight the last ~5yrs or so. Ever since I graduated high school, really. An abusive boyfriend and life circumstances helped lead me to my current path.

I have not weighed myself for ~6 months. I estimate that I am somewhere between 170-180. I am only 5' tall. I come from a very fit and athletic family for the most part, so I tend to feel self concious and inadequate. I would like to get back down to at least 135, which is where I graduated high school. Smaller of course, would not be frowned on.

I have been following the Belly Fat Cure plan for the last week or so, and just FEEL healthier. What I don't like is the fact that I cannot enjoy fruit. I am finishing my supply of Crystal Light and then I am supposed to find a better alternative.

I'm really good at going off track. But I HATE my body. There is not really one positive thing I can say about it. I am so so SO tired of feeling this way.

I am very greatful to have found these forums, and am looking forward to finally succeeding.

Keep your head up and stay focused. The body you are meant to have will be here before you know it :D

Welcome! You can so do this! I can't wait to say that I'm a first year teacher (still going to school). Anyways, make THIS time THE time.:)

The hard part is not seeing any results. I'm super hard on myself...my own worst critic.

What seems to be the most widely accepted method here? Calories? WW? Soemthing else?

Welcome, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join.
