I feel along
Hello, my name is Ann, I started my weight loss and better healthy living journey Sept 9, 2010. Things were going right along until I hit my first plateau in Dec. it lasted for about six weeks. I just recently started to loose again (very slowly) in Jan because I stared a weight lifting and cardio daily work out. I have lost 25 pounds in the time frame of Sept 7- Jan 29th. It seems so slow. Some out there please tell me that isn't bad, because I am very discouraged with my progress.
I would love to have a buddy to talk with to be encouraged to keep going. I was reading all the success stories and they are wonderful :) |
It's not bad at all! Losing 25 pounds over (almost) 21 weeks averages out to slightly over a pound a week. That's not only awesome, it's a safe rate at which to lose! Hang in there.

Aww, thanks so much. I have a friend that is take HCG drops and the pounds are melting off of her, so I think it might be discouraging me a bit.
|
HCG's a bit controversial. You're probably better off doing what you're doing.
|
Oh, yes she asked me to join her but, I knew in my heart that this was the only way for me is to have a real life change.
What is the controversial issues? you can Pm me if you don't want to share publicly. |
Wikipedia discusses the controversy briefly under the sub-heading "Weight Loss":
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_c...c_gonadotropin Basically, a couple of medical societies (and have some analysis to back them up, apparently) that HCG is unsafe and is not proven to work. |
Oh, my :(

Ann - you're doing GREAT! Keep up the good work!! That's great progress and it's easier said than done to not let your friend's speedy weight loss affect your outlook, but you're doing the healthy option for your body!
Twenty-five pounds is AWESOME!! :) |
