hello- ready to get started and lose this weight!

hi,
I am 27 years old, married with 2 kids (6 yrs and 4 months) and after years of being heavy i have decided that i need to get in shape!
i am feeling excited and scared but have joined up to hopefully get support from others who are in the same position.
i have never shared my weight with anyone so here goes....:o
i currently weigh 294 lbs and would love to reach 150lbs so have a long way to go!

so anyone out there with messages of inspiration or tips? :)

Take it one pound at a time and we are all here for the long run. To get started it is a good idea ro keep track of your food to get an estimate on how much calories you consume a day. Then you can adjust, you calculate your BMR body metabolic rate and substrat 500 calories from that number, this should give you a pound a week of weight loss, if you feel it is not enough just picture 1 pound a week is 52 less in one year.

Good luck

And picture one pound lost is two pounds not gained.
