NEW HERE! Anyone else have a goal of 50 lbs?

Hi everyone, I'm new to 3FC!
I am 24 years old from California. I am 5'4 and weigh 250. Yikes!
I made myself a goal to lose 50 lbs by April. I don't have anyone who understands what I'm doing because no one around me diets. I could really use some encouragement/motivation. I started going to the gym and watching what I eat. Eventually I want to lose 80 lbs. But I'm taking it a small step at a time. I'm going to eat right and work out and I will weigh myself 2 weeks from now. Anyone wanna join me? Let me know your story!:smug:

Hey.... Im new as well. Im 25, 5'2 and honesty dont know how much I weigh. Last I got on the scale it was in the area of 160. When I was a freshman in highschool I lost 30lbs with LA weight loss but since have gained it back. I have recently started going to the gym again and eating better. I am scared to see what the scale will say until I feel like im making progress... Its hard bc my boyfriend can eat whatever he wants and doesnt understand my body needs to do more than to just workout to get rid of these pounds.

My current goal is also 50 pounds. I've been doing this since Jan 3rd and have lost about 7 pounds so far *yay* :goodluck: to you! There's lots of info and helpful people here.

Yeah, a lot of times people don't know what it's like to be someone trying to lose weight. Most of my family and friends are average size, so dieting and exercising around them can be hard because they simply just don't see how hard it is. They've never had to struggle. Right now, I am at my heaviest. The first time I saw 250 on the scale was so shocking. But honestly, that's whats motivating myself to do something. I'm so glad I found this place!
