*** kicking time again

  • Hello all,
Not new to weight loss, I started about 5 years ago at 250lbs, got down to about 165lbs, then over the last 2 years due to a naff job, too much indulging in drink and whatnot am now back up to around 215lbs.
Thankfully during the last 2 years I did stick to 'some' of my healthy eating principles - if I hadn't I imagine i'd probably be even bigger than when I originally started.

Starting to get back into exersizing and the horrible realization of how fit I had gotten and how horribly unfit I am now. Walking for about 3 miles a day and alternating cardio/strength workouts for 30 - 60 mins a day (stuff like P90, Turbo Jam etc.) My main problem being shin splints which hurt like **** with walking/ running so I try and limit those activities. Happened last time but they eventually went away with regular stretching.

Oh well, back to the grind
  • Welcome and good luck!

Hi and Welcome! I'm relatively new to 3FC myself. I too experienced pain in my shins when walking (not sure if they were shin splints exactly). But just the other day I bought a different pair of trainers and it's amazing how far I'm able to jog now!

All the best to you in reaching your goals!
