Newbie! :)

Hi all!

My friend recommended this site for some recipes! After looking around, I found this to be a wealth of information and inspiration for my weight loss goals. I have fluctuated all my life with weight. About 4 years ago, I was at my lowest (160), and happy with that! I got into a relationship and slowly gained all my weight back, and even reached my highest weight of 226 in December of 2009. I got engaged on NYE of that year, and decided it was time to take my body back for me, and fit into that wedding dress. Last year, I lost 30 pounds (and managed to gain 10 of that back somehow over the holiday's), and now am working fiercly to slim down to my goal weight of 150! Our wedding is in September, so I have full faith in myself to accomplish my goals!!!

Looking forward to chatting & sharing!

Megan

Hi everyone - I'm new, too! Have already managed to unwittingly offend someone in the "black bean" thread for mentioning fattening foods. I was accused of "taunting". It's like foot faulting in tennis! Anyway, obviously I have a lot to learn along with a lot to lose. I'm hoping to get off seventy pounds, this year, on the Atkins diet. I work as a personal chef for an elderly man who has 100lbs to lose, so I'll be a total failure if I can't pull it off, what with it being the main focus of each week. Have managed to get off 5lbs since New Year's Eve, just increasing my walking and weaning myself of the sweet habit. Eating little and often is key, I think. Along with exercise. Am going to do my darndest to stick to it!
