Hi!

Hi there,

My name is Jennifer I am morbidly obese, and I need to make a change. At 5'2" I weight 268 lbs....down from a high of 276.

My final wake up call has been that my son age 3, who is on the autism spectrum, has started to run away from me. What will I ever do when I cant keep up with him because I am to fat to run!

The time is now...today. I have been eating clean since New Years. Counting calories, and will soon start exercise. I have been a lurker on this website for years and years. Maybe if I take the time to introduce myself, and participate in the boards it will help.

This is the first time I actually feel excited about the weight loss. I will make this work.

Thanks for reading!

Hey Jennifer :)

Down get too down on yourself, but it is excellent that you want to change this. Browse around the site and take advantage of all the resources available to you. Meet others. READ. It's a huge inspiration to see what these members are capable of doing. Be patient and above all, keep a drive going. No one else can do this but you.

Good luck :)

Welcome from one Jennifer to another:)

I know what you mean about your son running. I'm a teacher's aide and I work with a lot of autism children. My first full time job was a personal aide to a child. He was a darter. Hard for me to keep up as well.

Best of luck and remember to take it one day at a time. :)
