Hello 3FC

  • Hi Everyone, my name is Rae or Rae-Ann and I'm new to the site. I just joined a mock biggest loser type contest at work and while brosing success stories, tips, recipes... ect I came across this website. From what I can tell the support group that's been built here seems to be exactly what I'm looking for to help me out.

A little more info about me:
I just turned 21 in October and have bought my dream home with my dream to-be husband. When Dustin (hubby-to-be) and I first started dating it was my senior year in high school (he was 22 at the time) I weighed roughly between 145-160lbs and always thought I was heavy. It wasn't until recently that I realized what heavy REALLY feels like. I've passed the 200 mark and to be honest it really has scared me! I look at my family and their history of poor health, heart problems, and just an all around large and in charge type persona and I worry about myself. This year I'm planning on turning that around.

My goal is to get back to where I was when Dustin and I first met. I want him to marry the woman he met those three years ago and I want to fit into a dress that'll have him drooling as he says I do! And most importantly I want to feel good about myself. So here I am, doing something about it!
  • Welcome Rae!

Have you chosen a food and/or exercise plan yet? Let us know if there's anything we can help you find here at 3FC. We're here to help!
  • Hey Rae!

Have you seen our 20-somethings forum? It's designed for people in their 20's who are working on losing weight. You might want to check it out!

We also have groups by eating plan, so if you're looking for a plan, you might want to browse around and see what they're about in their individual forums. Calorie Counting, South Beach, Atkins and other Low Carb plans, and others all have their own little corners here, with tons of information and support.

Jump on in and get to posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!
  • Welcome and good luck!
