After spending the past few hours searching the internet for which weight loss pill I was going to buy tomorrow, I stumbled across this site. With the exception of surgery, tapping into a network of supportive and like-minded people was the only other thing that I had not tried in order to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and redefine my rather lustful relationship with food. Well, as the saying goes, "to get something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done". So, here am I.

Eating has become my full-time job since the company for which I worked unexpectedly announced it was insolvent and sent everyone home...via e-mail. In the 4 months since that happened, I have gained 30 pounds. The saddest part is that I didn't even notice the weight, since I'm in sweats and a t-shirt all day while I job hunt online.

Until further notice, my new full-time job is to become my best self - physically, mentally and spiritually. Through this forum, I hope to get and give support, guidance and encouragement.

Welcome! This is a fantastic site for just that. I can relate to your situation. I lost my job in september after being with my company for 15 years.
I found this site on my birthday, and it has been a great source of information, support, and inspiration. I am sure it will do the same with you.
