Hi, there!
I've been stumbling around these forums for the past couple of days, but I finally registered, so I'm pretty proud of myself. I've been searching for a weight loss community to become addicted to, with this being the only one that's caught my attention at all, so here I am. My name's Nicole, but my friends all call me Nika, so feel free to do so as well. I just turned 22 years old and I weigh an astonishing 408 pounds. I've been big all my life, but I'm not ready to be the next person in my family to submit to diabetes and all of the other heart problems that happen, so I'm trying to find a way to maintain my conviction of losing all this weight and becoming a healthier, happier me. So that's pretty much me in a nutshell. :D |

Hi Nika! I know what you mean about needing an addictive weight loss solution. I'm a food addict and I think if you and I could find a replacement addiction, food might become less of a factor in our lives. Ok I admit I've tried this before (subconciously, of course) but the shopping and smoking addictions just did not work out:) Maybe one day I will be addicted to exercise!
Anyway, I'm new here to so hopefully I will see you poking around the site as well. |

Sarah, its nice to see someone here struggling with the same issue I am. I'm definitely here for you. Perhaps we can battle this better together?
I'm going to vary my exercise plan, but I'm definitely going to do Couch to 5K because I want to be come a runner. I want to be that toned and conditioned, and I want to run on The Amazing Race someday with my mom. As for food, I've got to stop eating so much and just shrink my stomach. |
