I am New
Hello, I am new to this site and look forward to perusing the plethora of information available here. I am going to start off by saying that although I am not overweight I am well on my way to being so.
I am 5'7 and my starting weight of 157 had me 3 pounds shy of being classified as overweight. This would not have been so concerning except that my clothes reached a point where they were no longer comfortable to wear and made me feel self conscious. I was also over 34% body fat all that fat is also concentrated around my waist and I know that this in particular is a red flag.
I decided to dedicate myself to making a change in September. I joined a local and gym and started seeing a personal trainer. I have also been doing my best to eat right and work out on my own. I have been struggling, life is stressful and eating right can be time consuming. To date I have lost close to 5lbs which is not a lot in 3 months but I am down to 31% body fat and I know I have gained a lot of muscle because I have lost over 5 inches from various parts of my body.
I joined this form to find motivation and to get some ideas of what things have worked for others. I am trying to get down to 130 lbs and at that point I know I will be happy with my body for once in my life!
