hi there!
hello :dizzy:
my name is jamie, and i really need some support, i guess. my weight problem isnt really due to eating, as much as it is to being addicted to coke..i would drink up to 5 two liters a day! i am now down to 1 liter of diet pop a day and trying to cut back even more. hopefully i can make some friends, and maybe learn something from everyone! :carrot: :carrot: all that stuff aside, here is a little bit about me. i have been married for 18 years, and we have 7 kids..i just had my 6th little boy in april. just 1 girl out of the whole bunch. i enjoy driving, walking, sewing, listening to music (sisters of mercy, nitzer ebb, final selection, vnv nation etc) and reading. ill shut up now! :D :D |

thank you! i am really hopeful this time..mainly because over the past year or so, i have made many small changes to how i eat anyways, it just doesnt seem that hard to take the final step, i guess you could say..i cut back on snack cakes, which are my number one love after coke, i stopped getting candy bars, baking fattening desserts...a lot of that was motivated by rising food prices and having to feed 9 people on a budget so i am using all of that to my advantage. i am also scared of ending up like a family member of mine..she is only 41 but weighs around 500 pounds, has congestive heart failure and is still eating and binging..she came to my sons christening in july and it really scared me to see how she couldnt even walk across the parking lot without my brother dragging her along..after that, i just realized that anyone can end up in that position if they let it happen, and i was doing just that!

Good job so far! I'm sure if you just keep pushing and making those little changes, you'll be able to reach your goals. :) Welcome and good luck.

You have made some positive changes, my natural doctor told me to replace my diet soda with sparkling water, mixed with lemon juice and a drop or two of stevia...would that work for you? I'm gonna try it next time I go to the store.

ill have to try it..i dont know what it is about coke, dr pepper, etc but man, its addictive, at least to me! :D
