new town, new school, new me!
Hey all!
My name is Ashley and I've been overweight my ENTIRE life. I've been in college for a couple of years and my major originated as Political Science and Economics, however, through loads of research, I've become a serious food justice activist and changed my majors to Agronomy and Global Resource Systems. I'm the Midwest Regional Organizer for a non-profit called "The Real Food Challenge." This new school year, I've started at a new school. (Go Cyclones!) Since it's a new beginning, I want to re-invent myself and be the 'real' me, as it were. I'm going to eat healthy. (No more processed foods for me!) I'm going to work out every day. (Nothing better than that feeling after spending an hour or so at the gym and leaving covered in sweat!) I came across this site completely on accident! I don't even remember how I got here, but I liked the idea and figured having a support group would be a great motivator and educational tool. I really look forward to growing (or losing) with you all and making some awesome friends! |
hey girl you are awesome ! My original major was Environmental Geography so I see why you want to change your eating habits....for your physical well being and others !

Hugs and support on your weight loss journey :flow1: |
Welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.

Good luck with your goals. Hugs Michelle |
I love meeting a crossroad in life and turning on one street or another and being in a position that I can reinvent and redefine who and what I want around me! Lucky!
Good Luck to you! |
