Mom of 3 from Georgia :)

Hey everyone! I have been lurking and finally decided to write a introduction post ;) My name is Jackie and I am 25 years old. I have three sons Jr-7 Nico-5 and Christian 2. I have been happily married for almost 8 years (in Sept!) and together for 12. I have been overweight for the majority of my life. Cant blame that one on the kids :p. I actually lose lots of weight when I am pregnant just to gain it back when I deliver ::sigh::. Anyway, I am 5'7'' and the smallest I have been in my adult life is a 16. I am now a size 20ish. I hope to reach my goal by counting calories (1,400) and walking every day Mon-Friday for an hour.

Starting weight: 272.8
Date: 8.9.10
Today: 270.2
Date: 8.10.10

Goal: 199
Goal date: 12.24.10

My blog: ww7w. jackie mom to 3. blogspot. co7m/ (remove the 7's)

Hi Jackie!

Welcome and good luck with everything.

PS - Light weight training together with your walking will help you to build lean muscle mass that turbo charges your metabolism.

Thanks everyone for all your warm welcomes! I am trying to slowly read through the forum. There is such helpful advice on here...wow! I stay busy ( I take care of 9 kids Mon-Fri)

My main issue right now is finding foods that will keep me full longer. I feel hungry causing me to have headaches. Any suggestions on low calorie snacks or foods? THANKS!!

I really love cottage cheese, cheese sticks, nuts if you can stop at a serving lol sometimes those 100 calorie packs of stuff are nice if you are having a craving. Right now I am liking popcorn lol I really love peanut butter. One slice of whole wheat bread with some peanut butter helps me as I tend to eat it slow and it keeps me nice and full. Also plenty of water helps!

You might want to bump up your calories a tiny bit. We are the same height and when I was at 200lbs I was doing 1400 calories. Now I am doing about 1500-1600 and working out 45 mins a 5 days a week. It might help you not have headaches if you are eating alittle more. and you can always slowly move back down if you need to.
