Hi there. I just happened to stumble across this website and decided to join.

When I was in 8th grade I was ideal. Five foot three, 105 pounds and incredibly athletic. Somewhere in between 9th grade and now (I'm going in to 11th) I managed to put on quite a bit of weight.

I don't see myself as "fat" because I do have a bit of muscle, but I do need to lose some weight. Not only that, I'm looking to get just as active as I was when I was still in middle school.

I joined this site for support and motivation. I come from a family where if you are overweight even in the slightest they have no problem telling you that you need to lose weight.

Welcome and glad you are here. The same thing happened to me, I hit puberty and the weight hit me, it's been a struggle ever since I was about 13. Good luck with your goals and keep us posted
