Hello all, I just joined this group. I'm looking for the best place to start this journey. What diet plan are you all following? Where do I begin? I know the first step is to want the change, and I do.. I really do.

For myself i just have started eating healthier, cut out all soda and fast food. I also started a walking program about 2 weeks ago so I encourage you to start moving

welcome! this is a good place to get info on lots of different plans and ways of eating. i'm counting calories and watching the glycemic index. take a look at some of the diiferent forums and see which plans and ways of eating feel like a good fit for you. good luck on your journey! :)

Welcome. I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.

I count cals, and try to make healthy choices in my foods. More veggies, less chocolate!

Thanks all, I started yesterday counting sugar grams, and carbs. I am going to stay under 10 grams of suger a day and less than 100 carbs per day. I have a friend at work who is staying under 5 grams of sugar a day, but yesterday I started reading the labels on everything I ate or prepared, and found there is added sugar in everything! Staying under 1o grams is going to be hard to do.

My friend at work told me this is called belly fat cure diet. She is giving me the book on Monday. Does it sound like the low glycemic diet too? I am off to find more information.
