New here and checking things out

Hi there, I'm new here and thought I'd check things out. I really NEED to lose a lot of weight. I'm very uncomfortable in my own body and really need to stick to something that will help. Right now I'm 5'8" tall and 231 pounds. My 'fat' clothes are slowly becoming my "skinny" clothes. I'm very depressed about this.
I've started walking with my friend every-night but I don't think that's as much help as I need.
Thanks for hearing me out.

My mane is Mandi by the way, nice to meet you all

aw thank you so much for the fast reply. I actually have tears. Depression is among the list of things I'm battling right now. I never have energy to do anything, and I don't think it's because I'm lazy, more like I don't like going out, I hate being seen the way I am and I'm embarrassed and ashamed of myself.
I want out of this, my first step has been taking walks in the evening for at least an hour with a friend, who if it wasn't for he I wouldn't. She drags me out and makes me do it.
I think her every day of my life that I have her

And congrats to you guys for losing so much, I bet it was life changing and amazing to feel better

Thank you. Its really tough, especially at an hour walking minimum. I'm going to try to walk to the zoo and back by next weekend. That's about 8km each way. But I'm pretty determined, I'm going to do it even if my thighs hate me for it lol

Welcome

Welcome Mandi and we are glad you are here. I know what you mean about your fat clothes becoming your skinny clothes. I have a pair of jeans that I wore at my heaviest many years back and about 2 months ago they were hard to fit into but now even with 5lbs lost they are easier to breathe in. Good luck and keep us posted
