Hello there!

Hi everyone! My name is Kaylen and I am 33. My current weight is 185. Not quite my heaviest (198) but not where I'd like to be on my 5'4" frame.

My weight problems only really started in late college, when I became less active and had a boyfriend who LOVED to eat out, so we did often. The healthier habits i had grown up with feel by the wayside, and the weight piled on, but I didn't get to my highest weight until I met my husband. He's a mast and potatoes guy for sure.lol.

Before our wedding, I worked out with a friend who is a trainer, and lost about 30lbs., only to put it back on the first year of marriage. In the last couple years, i have varied within 10 or so pounds of my current weight.

Then in November, my husband's dad had to have a quad bypass. He came through ok, but it really made me think about our lifestyle. I bought a road bike and started riding, but not changing much else. After my birthday 2weeks ago, I decided i needed to really get in gear. So I started counting calories and we joined a different gym that we'll actually use.

It's only been about a week so far, so I don't know if i've lost any weight yet, but i certainly have more energy, and feel great. I'm exited to see what this forum holds!
