Hi everyone! I'm going to try this forum out for support. I've been on a diet as long as I can remember. I've gone up and down, been skinny and fat. it seems to have taken over my life. I have a 7 month old baby boy who's amazing and gets every free moment I have. I don't have any health problems.
I feel like I've tried everything to lose weight. Starting today I'm going to be eating a high protein diet (seems to work best for me). I also take phentermine but don't enjoy taking it. It has helped with my appetite though. I pretty much hate exercise. I have had horrible neck pain for about 10 years and most "exercise" I've tried leaves me with pain. I got an elliptical machine yesterday. It seems like an amazing workout but I'm so out of shape that I can only do 2 minutes at a time....so sad:( So I'm doing 2 minutes at a time, 4 times a day. I'm obviously going to try and increase every few days. My husband has always been so supportive of me but he gets upset with me when I get down on myself. I just want to get out of my maternity clothes and be able to shop at regular stores, be more healthy, and feel good about myself. |

First off, congrats on the new baby! Not sure if you're nursing or not, but we have a great "Nursing and Pregnant" forum here, so you may want to check that out.
We also have a "Carb Counters" forum for those reducing carbs and eating more protein - that might be an awesome fit for you as well. As for the exercise, don't worry about not being able to do much at first. You'll get more time in soon, and it's AWESOME that you are doing it so consistently. We have a ton of forums here, by age range, amount to lose, etc. So look around, find a few places that feel like home, and jump on into posting. Can't wait to get to know you better! |
