and I am an Egg McMuffin addict...Okay so I have been eating healthier for the past 4 days, YUP no soda or McDonalds... I am writing this from a hospital bed because I am going through EGG MCMUFFIN withdrawl.. JK.. I had been bouncing around other "diet" websites and found one site that I thought would do the trick but it has issues and loaded very slowly. So I am going to use it to track my food and calories but will use this site for forums and blogging.

I remember this site from WAYYYY back in late 1990's when they first started out.... glad to see they have grown by leaps and bounds..

Well I am going to stop here for now and hope I get some responses as I am really looking to be an active member in a forum and offer lots of support

That's the catchiest title for an intro thread I think I've ever read. It immediately brought to mind the scene from Toy Story when Woody makes an announcement with the toy mic. :D

THanks ya'll for the welcome..I appreciate it alot. Today is Day 4 of my healthier eating lifestyle and it's hard. When I am at work all day it seems a bit easier as I am very busy and don't really have time to snack or eat a lot but when I am off from work it seems my brain thinks that is the time to stock up on rations and eat as much as I can... not today though..I have been eating small meals all day but healthier and lower calorie. This first 30 days I am concentrating on getting the food part of health under control and then on Aug 1st I am going to join the Y to start exercising. One step at a time for me no need to feel rushed

i use to LOVE those mcmuffin sandwiches, now i make my own though.. but a little piece of me still yearns for them.

I will share with you all my McMuffin story, here in my town they are on the dollar menu and for the past say 10 mos, I would go by the arches, get a soda and a sandwich with just egg and cheese. Somewhere in my brain I was justifying that egg and cheese was good for me and meat was bad, how messed up is that..well a sandwich every once in awhile is ok, 4 days a week it's not. I am afraid to go to the doc and see what my cholesterol level might be after spending almost a year living on eggs.. Anyhow I am on a new path and trying to avoid boredom eating today.. thanks for the replies la Vie (love the hair) and Rex, you relate don't you???
