So after spending most of my life trying to lose weight, I am at it again.
I was a pretty active kid, so my eating habits were not the best and it didn't really matter. So as an adult the pounds started creeping on, leaving me where I am now, about 50 lbs heavier than I want to be.
I have started the South Beach diet on the advice of my doctor. But I have tried several diets in the past, some with more success than others. I lost about 25 pounds two years ago, but they found me again once I went back to my old ways
I found this site when searching for diet advice, and for the last week I have come back everyday just to read the advice and questions posted. It has been a godsend, and I am very thankful for such a great resource and support base, especially when not everyone in "real life" supports people when they are trying to make a lifestyle change. So I want to say thank you, and good luck to everyone on their weight loss, or maintaining weight loss, journey.
