I've lost 20 pounds some time ago, gained a little bit back and now I wanna loose the weight I gained back and a bit more. I'm in a OK physical shape and I'm exercising regularly almost 1.5 years (nothing too serious though). So, to get successful with the weight loss you have to learn to eat better and less and be active. Also, I really advise you to start fighting with the stress first. I'm a stress eater and I couldn't stop until I normalized my sleep schedule (go to bed earlier), starting taking vitamins and quit job I hated. It is very hard to resist emotional eating, so fight with stress first. Then, I advise to cut the portions gradually!!! Don't try to eat 3 times less in one day, but eat as less as you can. Then, you have to move at least 30 minutes per day. I don't know how much weight you need to loose but if it is more than 20 pounds, I won't advise to start with the gym, because it can be intimidating. Or if you can afford, hire a personal trainer, it will help (I did that long ago). But for begging start walking every day, at least 30-45 minutes. Also, about junk and bad food like chips, fried stuff and sugar. I don't advise to cut it out immediately, but gradually, and try to find tasty substitutes. Example, salty cravings - cheese and lean turkey with finn crisps. Chocolate - milk chocolate replaced with darker one, if you eat ice-cream, try to mix it with fruits and so forth. You just have to think about it and everything would be alright. And don't stop even if you overate one day, it is not the end of the world.
