Finding "me" Again

Hello all. My name is Nickie and I am 33 years old. I am the heaviest that I have ever been and am completely out of shape! I have never had to worry about my weight, as I used to be addicted to lifting weights/exercising and have always been very active. But over the last 6 years life happened and all of my dedication to fitness and will power went right out the window. I am at a place in my life now where I am happy where I am, have a wonderful homelife and career. But I am ready to take control of “me” again and feel good about myself!
I am planning on losing 44 lbs total (3 down this week so 41 to go) as well as stick to a low-carb, high fiber diet. I am also going to weight lift 4x a week and walk/jog at least 5x a week. I am still working on setting weekly goals, would love to lose the 41 lbs by the end of October but not sure how that will work out. I need buddies, support and a little magic! LOL. I would love to find other people with the same goals so that we can coach and motivate each other along the way!

Hi Nickie, welcome, nice to meet you. I started my journey on 6/1 my starting weigh was 195.4, yesterday my weight was 189.4 so 6lbs in 13 days ... 3 pounds a week. My long term goal as of now is 150. My mini goal is 184 by 7/4. I had 45 pounds to lose, so 39 left. I am up .6 today because of TTOM but I am not counting it since I am hoping it will disappear at the end of the week :D Sorry if that is TMI. :( I joined a daily weigh-in thread and a CC June Challenge to help keep me accountable. We can do the buddy system if you want. I am calorie counting and doing some type of exercise every day, mainly walking. I can't do much on coaching, but I can sure motivate and inspire.
We can use the :dust: to help get us through :)

Hi Nickie! I really needed to lose about 40, I've lost 20 so far. I joined the same CC June Challenge that love2b150 mentioned. I stop in there everyday & update my Post. It helps me knowing I'm gonna have to record my weight each day!(Though I feel I'm not gonna do good this week....Hubby is on Vacation!) Good Luck!

Hi llmw1951, I also like *~*June Daily Accountability Check-In Everyone Welcome*~*. I haven't logged my food for a few days but I will. That's helps me also. I signed up on spark people for calorie counting but it's time consuming to me. My friend said I would get use to it, but for now, I have a tablet on the counter so I can record everything and the calories right then and there, then I type it on the thread. There's another one that's fun, what I said "NO" to today. I love that one.

Hey everyone! Thanks for all of the replies!
I will definitely check out the June accountability thing. I am totally into challenges and anything to keep me motivated. Not sure about weighing myself every day though as that is what I have done in the past and always got disapointed with the scale not moving or moving the wrong way one day to the next. I am weighing in weekly for a while, and we will see what happens.
So happy to see others here with the same goals and such!!!!!!
