Hi! I'm new! ::waves::

Hi everyone! I'm new here!

A little bit about me: My name is Katie, I'm 28 and married, no kids. I work full time for the electric company. I loooove my car, the color pink, and my cats. You'll understand all that eventually. I lost my mom (almost) 4 years ago to some life-long diseases, but my dad is the healthiest person I've ever known. I have blonde hair, I'm 5'7" and I'm here to get some extra support on my journey to my goal weight of 175! :D

I just recently started eating red meat again, after a 8 year break. I have some random and strange allergies and I was allergic to the chemicals they packed it in. I now get organic meat and I'm good to go.

My daily calorie goal is 1600, but I rarely ever make it to that. My weekly average (for last week) was 1421. I get a lot of recipies online, and make a lot of things at home. If I splurge on one meal, or I know I have a big calorie thing coming up, I generally trim other meals and work out extra to make up for it.

I started couch to 5K 2 weeks ago and I LOVE IT. I've already lost 8 lbs, and I'll have to go get some new jeans because these are falling off. My goal is to run a 5K with my friend in October, just around halloween. We get to run in our costumes, so it'll be a treat. :)

Anyways, I've rambled enough. If you'd like to know anything about me, just ask! I'm off to find a ticker for my signature!

-Katie

Welcome. Since Chicks can be overwhelming at first, I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated. Find one you like that fits your needs, or inspires you, and just post to join.

Thanks! I've been poking around, reading stuff here and there. And in RL I have a friend who is also doing C25K with me... My friends aren't overweight, and the one that is its due to severe health problems. My hubby seems intrested in doing the C25K w/me, so he might be the one in the end that I maintain with.

We shall see! :)

I've never looked forward to working out until now. I can't wait to go home so I can get my sneakers on and GO!!

Thanks everyone! I did C25K last night and I'm on week 2 day 2 tonight. Last night was a little tough, but I pushed through!! It's poooouuurrrring today so I might do my P90X or my 30 day shred, we'll see. I'm also putting in 50 situps and 50 reverse-sit-up-leg things every day, no matter what. And boy can I feel that in my potential abs! :)

And last night, I noticed I have cheek bones appearing on my face! It was amazing!
