Hi there (or should I say Hi, ey :)!

I've been trolling the forum for a while now and thought I would join up. I am looking to lose about 50 pounds by next March, which is when I turn 40. For the last 15 years or so I have yo-yo'd between about 130 - 190. My goal is 125 which I haven't been for about 17 years or so. I'm 5'2 and a half.

I've tried everything out there (WW, Southbeach, Atkins, grapefruit diet, cabbage soup, etc.etc., etc.). My new plan corresponds with my username. I'm changing my lifestyle and am making healthier choices and exercising more. I have cut out my carbs quite substantially because they are my weakness, but it is not a complete eliminatation - I'll just choose healthier carbs.

I'm looking forward to "meeting" more members and sharing advice and support. I'm from Canada so if there are any other Canuck Chicks out there let me know (but of course I love talking to people from all over!).

Welcome & Good Luck! You & I started off about the same weight. I've just been making healthier choices & eating about 1/2 of what I did. It's slowly coming off! You Can Do It!

Welcome, Pam! The first thing I saw was that we're pretty similar; not only in height, but what we've done in terms of modifying our eating :) My main carbs are fruits! Plus our goal is the same :) Best of luck to you as you begin your journey!
