Hi from Sydney Australia

Hi there!

I'm 30 years old and working on getting back to a healthy, pre-babies weight. My little girl is now 3 so I can't exactly blame it on pregnancy anymore :o

I've had a few false starts in the last couple of years where I've lost about 5kgs (11 pounds) but then piled it back on (with some extra every time!) because I either wasn't serious or tried some kind of method that just failed for me such as meal replacement shakes diets, or low carb diets. However this time around I'm serious, I'm motivated, I'm trying to take care of my health first AND importantly, my partner is doing it alongside me which is really making a massive difference to my motivation and determination.

I'm a little concerned about what might happen should I fall pregnant again but given my new found focus on health, not just numbers on the scales, I'm confident I won't let my eating habits all fall apart again. I'm calorie counting mostly because I find being accountable to a detailed food diary on a daily basis works for me.

I've been enjoying lurking in the forum for a couple of weeks and so I thought I should register.

Welcome Goldenleaf, Since Chicks can be overwhelming at first, I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one you like that fits your needs, and just post to join.

Its wonderful that your partner is working along with you so you can both support each other.
