Second time around...

Hi all. I wanted to reintroduce myself since its been about a year since I've been here. I joined 3fc in 2008 when I was trying to lose weight for my May 2009 wedding... but as it turned out I gained weight from all the stress. I was ready to get back on track after our honeymoon, but I had to abandon any plans for a diet two months later when I became pregnant. Despite not dieting, I unintentionally lost 15 pounds in my first trimester because of relentless morning sickness and gained it all back plus more in my ninth month. So now, I've got a two month old baby, and I'm still at the same weight I was two years ago.

I was really discouraged because I have no time to exercise or plan healthy meals with a newborn and had decided to give up until I saw something really mean that was intended for me on facebook. My husbands exgirlfriend joined this group "my ex downgraded" and liked the status, "I love how my ex's fat downgrade had an ugly baby." I know this was directed toward me because she always makes a point to comment on pictures of me when I was pregnant and pictures from when my daughter was born. All I can think to say is, "thanks for the motivation" because now I'm going to lose this weight out of pure spite... what kind of person insults a baby anyway?

Well... to sum everything up, that's where I've been, and that's why I'm back. At least now I have rage to fuel my determination and a baby to distract me. Thanks for listening.

Hi and welcome to the board!

Clearly, this woman you're talking about has some serious issues. She's obviously still hung up on your hubby and so jealous of you that she can't see straight. Why be FB friends with her anyway? Block that b*tch and don't ever think about her again!

On the other hand, though spite can be a great motivator, it won't last forever. You want to get healthy for YOU and for your family. You can do this and you WILL do this if you're determined enough. If you're ever feeling a little lack of willpower - go look through the "goals" photo album on here. It's so inspiring to see what others have accomplished. If they can do it, so can we!

Congratulations on starting this journey and I wish you nothing but success and happiness!!! :-)

Believe me, she definitely isn't my friend on FB. I don't need that kind of drama in my life. Its my husband that is FB friends with her
