The 180 to 150 dream...

Peeking in to say hello. I'm new around here, but not new to weight loss and wanting a lifestyle change! A friend reccomended this forum for ideas and tips so I am poking around. Hi!

I've been diagnosed with PCOS and somewhat of an insulin resistance issue.... I also want to get a breast reduction which is probably related to the PCOS. A few years back during the consultation with the surgeon for the reduction said for me to come back to him when I had lost 50 pounds, because I would be most happy with the results of his work after the extra weight was gone.

So I have been trying to lose weight since then. Last year my boyfriend and I went on a protien diet from 195 to 167 but we slacked off at some point and I found myself in the '90s again. I took some initiative 2 weeks ago, got back on the protein train and I have lost 9lbs (I'm 180 today) and desperately need support to continue. I could really use some cake today!! So instead of indulging I signed up here. See u around!

Hi chouchoubou. I can relate to the insulin resistance issue. I'm in the first week of my sugar detox, and so far, so good! I also had a breast reduction several years ago. It was the BEST thing I ever did for myself. I'm now able to move, breathe, and sleep much more comfortably, which makes it easier to lose weight. I'm excited for you because the breast reduction will be a wonderful reward at the end of your journey!

Hopefully we can help each other fight these cake cravings. I'm here if you need encouragement. Good luck!

@Lyri - Thanks! Removing sugar is HARD. I have been switching out to natural stevia for pretty much everything, and Splenda when I'm in a bind. I so can't wait to move freely again like in my teens! I have to keep going to 150 for my back's sake!!

@tea2 - hi!Thumbs up to us!!
